Do your cabinet latches look like this?
Do they wobble awkwardly, catch and stick?
Actually they are not designed to look or work like this. The problem is that the wrong bezel has been installed for the thickness of the door. Fortunately we have solutions to improve the appearance and function of your latches.
The best solution to make your latches look and operate the way they were designed is to simply replace the bezel with the one that is designed for your application. All you have to do is to measure the thickness of your door or drawer thickness and replace the bezel with the one that is designed for your thickness. In the case of the Casita latches the doors and drawers are 1/2 inch or 13mm thick so you will need the 13mm bezels. Your current knobs and latches do not have to be replaced and they will work with our bezels. After replacing the bezel with the correct one it will look like this and will function 100% better.
If you decide to replace the bezels you can find complete instructions on how to do it on the “How to install new bezel” page.
There is another solution that will also improve the appearance and function of you latches.
You can add spacer between the door and the latch that will allow you to use all of your current latch, knob and bezel.
With the spacer your latch will look like this.
Note – you will be adding 3mm spacer between the latch and the door. This will allow the door to open that much with the latch engaged.
If you choose this option you can find complete installation instructions on the “Installing the spacer” page.
